Ok, I want to liven up this board a little so I want to know how many times a week you all go to your Curves. And if you do other things on the days "off" what do you do?

I try to walk on my 'off' days, either outside or on the treadmill, depending on the weather.

Hi! I usually do Curves 3-4 times a week which they say you get the best results. I have also done some walking outside by walking my dog on those same days if it is nice outside plus on my off days. I also use the treadmill occassionally but I find that not as fun. I've tried a Pilates video which I find challenging but yet fun at the same time. It concentrates on muscle strengthening but I try to give myself one-two days a week for my muscles and body to relax.

I set my goal for 5-6 days a week because I figured if I could only get there 4-5 I wouldn't be too disappointed. I've just hit the one month mark and will get weighed and measured today so I'll see if this has worked. I've made the 5 day a week goal easily except when we went on vacation (I still went 3 days that week). My entire family has supported me, in fact my kids (10 & 14 years old) think it's just great. I feel great and seem to have more energy.

Like Ellen, I'm only in my 5th week but have also been going 6 days a week on the theory that if I plan for 6 but only make 3 I won't feel guilty and stop. However, I've found that I love it so much the 6 times is no problem to keep up (not so sure that will be the case when the Fall comes and it's dark in the morning - hoping it will be a real habit by then!). Actually, I'm sort of adicted, very strange for an exercise-phobe and I really miss it on Sundays when Curves is closed. It helps that we've got a solid crew of early morning regulars that are alot of fun.

I workout at Curves 3 days a week since I started (Mon/Wed/Fri). On Tues and Thurs I walk during my lunchtime at the local park (45 minutes). I do not workout on Sat or Sun. This has been working for me very well. I am a Weight Watchers member for about 9 months. I started at 279 lbs. I am now at 190. This workout schedule is similar to the one that the Curves Member Guide suggest.

Wow - great success - congratulations.! You're my new hero. I started Atkins at 258 the day after Easter and started Curves June 5. I'm only down to 249 between the two and desperately hoping for the kind of success you've had. What do you think made the most difference - diet or work-out?

Last fall I aimed for 3 times a week, but found that things would come up and I'd miss a day & feel very guilty. So I've decided to go 5-6 days a week. I'm not sure why they say that you get the same results with just 3 days a week?

I find that I am sweating more... and also that I have more and more energy, so I'm not going to stop just because they say 3 days is enough. I noticed though that the Curves book says to go easy on the machines on alternate days if you do more than 3 days a week. So..... I go on those days and try to do more on the squares.

I just hope I can keep this up in the wintertime!

I only do three days a week, but I'm considering upping it to four.
