Curves workout = how many activity points?

Hi, Y'all. I recently joined the Weight Watchers on-line program. I have a question regarding the activity points for you Weight Watchers pros out there. When doing the activity conversion for a Curves workout, how should you divide the tasks and times? So far I've been breaking it down into 10 minutes of strength training, 10 minutes of low impact aerobics, and 10 minutes of stretching. (They don't have 5 minute increments on the WW site.) What do you think? Thanks.

In about the middle of the post stuck right above yours:

http://www.curvesforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5688

is the calculation. I do WW on line, and I just add it in manually at 3 points, based on my weight and intensity of workout rather than trying to break it out.

I don't go exactly by the WW standard. They would call it a "moderate" workout, but I have to go to so much trouble to keep my HR under the 80% zone, that I call it 3 points. I started at 4 points, but as I've lost weight, i moved down to 3.

Calories Burned Calculator

For figuring AP's for Curves, check out the online calories burned
calculator on www.fatburn.com/free_tool_activity_burn.asp.

Type in your weight and click Curves. Under the results, find #minutes and #calories burned for 30 minutes.

Figure 100 calories burned = 1 AP

Since I didn't officially join WW, just doing it on my own, I don't have all the latest info on AP. At one time, AP's were only earned for exercise MORE than 30 minutes/day. For example, if you went to Curves, that would count as your 30/min/day exercise. AP's would only be awarded if you did something above this 30 min. Is this still the case? Or, in my example, would you earn AP's for Curves?

Hope this isn't too confusing, and thanks for your help!

Mumsie, you do earn AP's for Curves.

I don't know the exact answer regarding having to exercise for 30 minutes in order to earn AP's. However, I have an AP slider and if a 145+ pound woman exercised at "light" intensity for 15 minutes, she'd earn 1 AP, but barely. If she exercised at "moderate" intensity for 11 minutes, she'd earn 1 AP, again barely.

My point is the WW slider has AP's for less than 30 minutes of activity. If 30 minutes and below was not counted by WW, then I don't think the slider would would have anything less than 30 minutes on it. I hope I'm not confusing everyone.

Mumsie - The APs are ANY activity, according to my leader. Even if it's for 5 minutes.

Curves counts! But, I still don't eat my AP points...
