Distractions and Delays

I have been going to Curves for one month now and am finding with Curves Smart that it is very distracting for me to be talking to someone while I am on the machines. I am not paying attention to the machine's feedback and as a result do not maintain the rhythm and consistency in my workout. Recovery Boards

Is there certin things you are supposed to do on the recovery boards or can you just jog in place??? I see diffrent women doing diffrent things and i am not quite sure what to do.
